pack your bags, summer camp is right around the corner!

Summer Camp at the Grove is a wrap!
What was once a far-off idea cooked up during a mini retreat in Hawaii with Jen became a reality over the long 4th of July weekend.
G and I are still aglow with gratitude for friends and family who traveled from across the country to indulge us in a silly adult summer camp. There was tie dye! There was a keg stand! (2 seconds but still proving that there's a little frat left, even into our thirties).
We had tacos by Jimmy & Joe and grilling by Andrew and DIY pizza by Matt! Ann Marie learned to sew and made us survivor buffs, and I got to live out my dream of writing a kooky scavenger hunt list, and people actually were game to do it?!
Hayden & Eva fed the masses all weekend with the best potato salad I've ever had, and Hannah & Joe found a new shared love of chopping wood (so much wood), and Han's Palomas were outrageously good. Diego let chatgpt text his wife on a dare. Mark and Lily and Nikki climbed some towering trees. Alex & Nebiu played euchre, Madeline sunk 4 consecutive corn hole wins, Yon & Alex swam in the ocean, and Greg & Gini picked up loads of litter from the Chief Sealth Trail.
We napped in hammocks and hiked and laughed at Arvy sunning herself on the lawn, and towards the end of it all, G & I got just a lil teary eyed watching from across the yard as loved ones from different parts of our lives were busy making friends with each other.
Thank you to our beautiful friends who put their trust in us and said fuck ya to a first-pancake of an idea. And ~*welcome*~ to any friends who want to join in the hopefully annual fun.
See you back at camp next year!

wednesday - mostly free time if you arrive on this day

9am leave for a hike in the casades!
transport provided (~1 hr drive)
there will be an easy option and a harder option (tba)
dogs and cats and kids welcome
for folks who don't want to hike, free day to explore seattle! ex:
pike place visit
bainbridge ferry + visit (without a car)
lake union

travel back to seattle
option to go visit some local breweries (tba which ones) or to do your own thing (nap/go to lake washington/etc)
